Terms & Conditions

Reservation and Booking Guidelines:

To secure your reservation, please arrange it in good time either via our website or by email. Please note that reservations are only confirmed upon receipt of payment. Payment can be made online via the link we provide or by bank transfer upon request.

For last-minute bookings and reservations in Ilulissat, please visit I Love Ilulissat Tours in person. Payment can be made on-site via our online link or in local currency (DKK).

Reservations are made under the names provided, and any changes to names must be communicated to I Love Ilulissat Tours to avoid being marked as a no-show.

Confirmation:

When booking tours online, you will automatically receive a receipt as confirmation of your payment. For on-site bookings, the guide can issue an invoice, which will serve as your ticket.

Cancellations:

I Love Ilulissat Tours reserves the right to change or cancel tours under certain conditions: unfavorable weather or ice conditions, technical issues, and force majeure situations beyond our control that could compromise the safety of the tour. The decision to proceed with the tour lies with the captain or guide, based on safety considerations.

In case of tour cancellation due to the above reasons, a full refund will be issued to customers.

Shortened Tours:

Tours may be shortened or changed if the captain or guide deems it necessary due to sudden weather changes or technical issues.

While compensation for shortened tours cannot be guaranteed, we will assess each case individually to ensure the best possible experience for our guests.

Tour Cancellation Policy:

Once a booking is confirmed in our system, the following cancellation terms apply:

  • Up to 5 weeks before arrival: Free cancellation

  • Between 5 weeks and 3 weeks before arrival: 50% cancellation fee

  • Within 3 weeks before departure: 100% cancellation fee

We will do our best to rebook tours within the specified travel period at no additional cost, although we cannot guarantee this service. We strongly recommend that guests take out travel insurance covering any losses in case of tour cancellations.

Changing the Tour Date:

I Love Ilulissat Tours reserves the right to adjust tour dates and times within the guest’s travel period as needed due to weather conditions or to ensure a minimum number of participants. If a tour is canceled and not rescheduled within the customer's travel period, a refund will be issued.

Privacy Policy:

We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website by:

  • Sharing personal information such as name and age entered into our booking system with our staff, insurance providers, advisors, agents, suppliers, and other relevant parties involved in the booking process. We do not share personal information with third parties for direct marketing purposes.

  • Retaining personal information only as long as necessary in accordance with Danish legal guidelines.

  • Storing all personal information on a secure server protected by firewall and strict password security.

  • Encrypting and securing all payments made through our website using industry-recommended technology. However, please be aware that the transmission of information and payments over the internet involves inherent risks, and we cannot guarantee complete security of data sent online.

  • Providing customers with access to their personal information stored in our system, such as name and payment method. Customers may also request to be removed from our internal marketing lists if they no longer wish to receive advertisements.

  • Noting that our website may contain links to third-party websites, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

  • Clarifying that our website is operated and owned by I Love Ilulissat Tours, which is responsible for the privacy policy.

Customer Insurance:

We strongly recommend that customers take out individual travel insurance that covers not only cancellation costs but also personal injury in case of accidents abroad. Although Ilulissat has a hospital, serious injuries may require treatment in Nuuk, Reykjavik, or Copenhagen, which could result in potentially high treatment costs.

In the event of accidents caused by our staff or equipment, I Love Ilulissat Tours has comprehensive insurance coverage for proven damages directly attributable to the company or its employees. Please note that this insurance does not cover personal belongings, which must be covered by the customer’s own insurance policy.

Complaints:

Any complaints must be reported immediately to I Love Ilulissat Tours, specifying the conditions and circumstances of concern. Ideally, complaints should be addressed with our staff on-site for effective resolution. If on-site resolution is not possible, written complaints should be submitted as soon as possible for timely action. Complaints received more than 3 weeks after the incident may not be processed.

We at I Love Ilulissat Tours offer our customers a 15% discount on all non-discounted items in our store, Butik 56. Here you will find everything from men’s and women’s clothing to gift items, jewelry, Greenlandic art, and fine wines. This offer is valid only after purchasing one or more of our services. A voucher will be provided to you during your tour from one of our listed services.

Changes to Terms and Conditions:

We reserve the right to change our terms and conditions without prior notice, with updates reflected on our website. We recommend checking the website for any changes from booking to booking.
