Ilimanaq is about 15 kilometers south of Ilulissat. Ilimanaq is a small settlement with around 50-60 inhabitants which mainly income comes by fishing/hunting. Over the past few years turism has added economy to this small settlement. Ilimanaq was founded mid 1700's and is still in use this day today. Visit the old houses, the restaurant, the local supermarket or hike around the settlement.
