Rodebay, Oqaatsut, is a small settlement about 25 kilometers north of Ilulissat. In this small settlement only about 30-40 people live there. Their main income comes from fishing/hunting and tourism. There is a small school combined with at chapel. There is a restaurant, main customers are tourist but also people from Ilulissat likes to visit. Rodebay was founded by dutch whalers in the 1700's.
